The size of the finnish flag is stated in the flag law. They appear in the accompanying picture. Flag height is a sixth of the poles lenght, for example a flag for a 9 meters pole needs to be 150 cm by height and 245 cm wide.
The correct blue color in the finnish flag is determined with spectrophotometric measurement (Government decision from year 1993) in CIELAB- values. The approximate value is 294 C in the Pantone Coated -chart. Altough it differs about 16 dE-units, when the permissible difference is 4 units. dE=1 is a just and just visible colour difference.
