Cutting  and printed clothing instruction

Fabric has a threedimentional structure that changes length and width when its printed on, washed and finished.

Some of the changes can be predicted but most of the fabrics can't be.

Ready fabrics can be cut using 1:1 measurements if desired but,
then the picture needs to be a bit larger than the cutting paths to avoid white ares to be visible.

The cutting formula is easyest to make with our cutting software. For each piece of clothing a different cutting path needs to be precent in the PDF file.

50 mm bleeds are to big, my software cannot do bleeds that big?

If you want to work with bleeds, its easiest to do the material in 1:10 (10%) size with 5 mm bleeds.

There is no need for cutmarks.

Do i need to make the print file as wide as the fabric?

The repeatable file is only needed.

Deliver possible side texts as a separate file. The resolution should be 150-200 dpi in 1:1 (100%) size.

Make the repeatable file always in its final size. There can be no bleeds, frames or anything that should be wisible on the ready made fabric.

What size of text is readable in a 3 meter wide banner?

A rule of fist is that the size of the text needs to be half of the wieving distance. for example a banner seen from 10 meters away should have text atleast 5 cm high.

Design and printing in report on textiles

Design and printing in report on textiles

Please see updated instructions above. File type jpg, tiff, psd or pdf, with the resolution of 90-150 dpi 1:1 scale is enought. If colormanagement is familiar to you then please change the colour profile to the icc profile above. If colour management is not familiar then please leave the picture in the standard RGB-profile (For example Adobe rgb or srgb). You can also leave them in CMYK-format.  Choose the colours with a Pantone chart (graphical Solid coated or textile with the TPX colours) only if you have a printed pantone chart available.

- Please note. Natural materials may change +8% under the prosess so it can shrink or stretch. Take this as in consideration, if your pattern isnt repeatable. If your design is a sheet instead of a continious design in repeat then it is recommended to have a 20% shrink, cut and sewing edges.

If you want for example colours from the Pantone TXP chart, we can do the colour changes here for a extra charge. We will happy make an offer, for that we need a small picture for example in jpg-format and the information of colourways.
